Coach Heather has been involved in the game of volleyball since middle school. Heather played volleyball in college at the University of Michigan-Dearborn (GO BLUE!) where she was an All-American and inducted into the Hall of Fame. She also played club volleyball in graduate school at the University of Southern California where she won league honors. During her time in Michigan and California she coached LOTS of volleyball, from clinics to AAU clubs to high school teams. It’s time to show Sudbury how fun the game of volleyball can be! | Coach Lauren played collegiate volleyball at MIT and continued her volleyball career into USAV and Yankee adult leagues while also taking up such light hobbies as qualifying for the Boston Marathon, dabbling in triathlons, and coaching her kids through 5k races. Lauren has been mentoring younger players since she was in high school and is excited to bring her experience and love of the game to both brand new players and our up-and-coming volleyball stars who want to sharpen their skills. |
Coach Dave has spent more than 50 seasons in Sudbury youth sports bringing his infectious personality for fun and community to hundreds of families. He was a collegiate volleyball player and has coached volleyball at all levels from high school through adults. He met his wife on a volleyball court…literally.. and they played together competitively for many years (and they still play together to this day!) Using sport to build community and teach life-long skills is central to his coaching philosophy…as well as making kids smile while they play! | You might already know Coach Charles from Sudbury Soccer, but before that he was an assistant volleyball coach at MIT for eighteen years after having played on their Men’s team as an undergrad. Charles completed USA Volleyball’s Coaching Accreditation Program (CAP) Level II and was the AVCA National Assistant Coach of the Year for Men’s Volleyball in 2010. He has coached countless clinics and camps, mentoring hundreds of players from novices to All-Americans and future collegiate national champions. |
